I was born in Long Island, NY and I'm now 60 years old. I was married for 18 years and I have two wonderful twin daughters who are 28. I was a database professional for many years and started recording my music two-and-a-half years ago. I started writing music 20 years ago although I don't really know how to write music...the songs just come! One last thing: I have PTSD and DID due to severe childhood trauma which is what brought me to PCH.
My love of music began when I was young. I started playing piano when I was 5. My family lived so close to Manhattan we were able to see so many amazing Broadway shows. The kind of music I write is very much influenced by musicals. When I wrote the music for Merry Go Round I planned on it being a song with lyrics. But I had trouble thinking of what to write about, so I tried listening to it from a different angle, and I began to hear a carousel style song. In the end, that's what we recorded.
