Activism project for AP Drawing. George Floyd was killed while in police custody. The police officer knelt on his neck for 8 minutes, 46 seconds over an alleged counterfeit $20 bill. This incident was captured on videotape; it sparked outrage and protests around the country. I couldn’t get this disturbing image out of my head so I decided to capture it on pen and paper. I’m passionate about the “Black Lives Matter” movement and hope that one day we don’t have to say “BLM” anymore!
