“Worst Nightmare” is a cry and a warning. Speaking both to the fear and threat of the young Black male. A conversation about identity and history at the same time. The disgrace of lynching and the condition in which bodies were discovered and the way our young men choose to present themselves in today’s culture, serve as a reminder of the damage done to us and a defiant posture that is a caution to those that would seek to harm us today.
